Founding
ISSITA was founded on 23 June 2023 to close the gap between the ministries, provinces, federations, and communities that each hold a piece of Indonesia's sport and special interest tourism potential. The National Board for the 2023-2028 term is chaired by Dr. Isyak Meirobie, S.Sn., M.Si.
Past highlights
- 28 January 2024. Pelantikan DPD ISSITA Jawa Timur: the East Java chapter was inaugurated by DPP Chairperson Isyak Meirobie at Oakwood Hotel & Residence Surabaya, attended by Deputy Minister of Tourism & Creative Economy Angela Tanoesoedibjo.
- 3 March 2024. Skaters Are You Ready, a national student roller-skate championship supported by ISSITA at One Belpark Mall.
- 19 May 2024. Pelantikan DPC ISSITA Kabupaten Sumenep: the regional chapter inauguration expanding ISSITA's network into Madura.
- 11 November. Inline Floorball Referee Course, a referee certification course led with the Singapore Rollersports Federation.
Planned activities 2026
- Launching Website ISSITA. Official launch of ISSITA's national digital platform, the site you're looking at right now.
- Audiensi. Formal audiences with regional government to align ISSITA's programs with local tourism development.
- Petranesian Golf 2026. ISSITA's flagship golf tourism event in Surabaya, East Java, under the "Golf as Gateway" positioning for Indonesian sport tourism. Held on 15 August 2026.
- RX Series 2026. Roller sports competition series, continuing ISSITA's involvement in inline and skate community events.
- Jember Kota Cerutu Indonesia 2026. Celebrating Jember's identity as Indonesia's cigar-tobacco city, blending culture and destination promotion.
- Turnamen Bola Kasti Jember. A traditional kasti (Indonesian baseball-style sport) tournament supporting grassroots community sport.
- Jember Fashion Carnival. Supporting one of Indonesia's best-known carnival events as part of ISSITA's culture-tourism programming.
